Stuart Walford is an Australian stylist and creative consultant.
Walford has become a renowned stylist in Melbourne and is most known for his contributions to the fashion festival circuits in Melbourne, along with his long-standing relationships in commercial advertising for some of Australia’s most respected designers and retailers.
For the last 15 years, Walford has been working across commercial advertising stills, TVC, runway, exhibition design & curating, personal styling, visual merchandising and creative production. There is no denying that Walford has an innate sense of creativity which allows him to view fashion with both a commercial and editorial lens – a skill that has so far rewarded him great success.
It was his personal project in 2021 titled ‘The Lockdown Diaries’ that captured the attention of thousands. The project saw Walford recreate high fashion runway ensembles using regular household objects crafted together to give new life to existing imagery. Over the course of just several weeks, the project gained enormous traction and was shared on The Project, The Morning Show and Pedestrian TV.
Aside from his commercial advertising and runway triumphs, Stuart has curated fashion exhibitions alongside the National Gallery of Victoria, The National Trust of Victoria, Creative Victoria and The City of Melbourne.
